What is the difference between a business website and a landing page?
Both are websites, but with different goals. The choice depends on what you want visitors to do.
Business website
It presents the business as a whole: who the company is, what it offers, where it is and how to get in touch. It usually has several pages, such as home, about, services, menu or portfolio and contact, and it is the site people find when they search for the company or the type of business on Google.
Landing page
A single page with one goal: selling a service, promoting a launch, signing people up for an event or capturing leads from a campaign. Everything on it leads to the same action, with no menus or paths that distract visitors.
Which one to choose
If you need an online presence and to show up in searches for your business, a business website is the starting point. If you are running ads or promoting something specific, a landing page usually converts better. Many businesses have both: a main website and landing pages for campaigns.
